Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Application Engineer, Data Center to drive bid activities and proposals for low‑voltage systems. You will collaborate with sales and customers on technical, contractual, and commercial matters, drafting bids and managing contracts.

The role requires 3+ years in proposal preparation, travel readiness, and a strong grasp of electrical distribution products and AutoCAD. Join a global team delivering cutting‑edge data center solutions and multimarket leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 4 years of equivalent experience.
Experience drafting, submitting, and negotiating bids for projects.
Proficient with electrical distribution products and systems, especially Low voltage switchgear and switchboards.
Ability to read SLDs, relay PLC schemes, and network diagrams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; willing to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and bid requests by drafting and submitting bids.
Follow up on opportunities to determine win/loss status and next steps.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Engage in commercial contract negotiations with customers and suppliers.
Maintain records of contracts, bids, and proposals.
Create/modify project drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
Monitor sector trends and competitor actions to identify opportunities and risks.
Represent Siemens at trade shows and events to foster customer relationships.
