Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America's largest building materials supplier, seeks an Accounts Payable specialist in the Dallas area. This role supports the AP department by processing vendor invoices, performing reconciliations, and ensuring timely follow-up on inquiries.

The position offers a remote/work-from-home opportunity in the Dallas, TX area, with onsite training for 2–4 weeks and attendance at in person meetings as needed. Strong Excel and ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years related accounting/finance experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of general bookkeeping or accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely data entry of vendor invoices and credits.
• Process PO and Non-PO invoices.
• Perform electronic Statement Reconciliations via Excel and Open Receiver Resolution.
• Knowledge of PO Exception discrepancies.
• Ensure that all customer emails/calls are followed up on in a timely manner.
• Meet/maintain the department SLA for quality standards.
• Participate in monthly vendor meetings to discuss vendor statement accounts.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
