Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to manage ASC 842 lease accounting schedules and related financial reporting. You will develop a deep understanding of end-to-end lease processes, coordinate with stakeholders, and prepare analyses and journal entries across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting and at least 1 year of general ledger experience, with familiarity in lease accounting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting required.
• At least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as needed by department leadership.
• Keeps up-to-date with FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
