Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage ASC 842 lease accounting, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support audits. You will analyze end-to-end lease processes, with emphasis on internal controls and timely reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least one year of GL experience, with ASC 842 knowledge highly preferred. Remote work options exist for qualified candidates willing to work from various states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with 1+ year of general ledger experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps up-to-date with FASB, SEC and PCAOB disclosures affecting accounting practices.
