Job summary

Cable One is seeking a dedicated Lease Accountant to manage ASC 842 lease schedules and end-to-end lease processes. You will work within our finance team in Fulton, MS, ensuring accurate journal entries, timely analyses, and strong internal controls.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and practical general ledger experience, with a preference for ASC 842 knowledge and prior public or corporate accounting exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with practical accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares analyses and journal entries for lease accounting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Executes special projects and analyses as directed by leadership.
• Keeps current with FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
