Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a curious, commercially minded analytics leader to join the U.S. Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will turn cafe, digital, and product data into tools and insights the teams use to run and grow the business.

This remote role prefers candidates in Pacific Time and within 50 miles of Blue Bottle locations. You will partner across Cafe Operations, Digital & Product, and Engineering to build trusted data foundations and deliver a clear view of guests

Qualifications

• 6+ years in analytics, data science, or BI, preferably in hospitality, retail, or food/beverage.
• Expert SQL and modern data/BI tools experience (Snowflake, dbt, Sigma/Tableau).
• Experience using AI tools like Claude to speed up analysis.
• Experience with POS, loyalty, or digital ordering data and experiment design.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of P&L drivers.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across functions.

Responsibilities

• Set the data and analytics roadmap with Engineering for a single source of truth.
• Lead AI reporting and analytics to help management analyze performance.
• Lead guest analytics across app, ordering, subscriptions, and loyalty.
• Build dashboards to track sales, traffic, labor, and service speed.
• Partner with Digital & Product to design and evaluate A/B tests.
• Analyze menu mix, pricing, and launch performance to inform decisions.
• Support planning, forecasting, and business cases with data-driven recommendations.
