Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group seeks an Ambulatory CDI Specialist to join our team. This remote position requires residency in KY or IN and involves evaluating documentation for coding accuracy and HCC coding. You will guide providers and staff on clinical documentation best practices and may travel for meetings.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of medical group coding experience and certifications such as CPC, CCS-P (or equivalent), and CRC, with proficiency in Office tools and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ professional medical group coding experience.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT, CPT II and modifiers, CMS HCC, HHS HCC, Rx HCC coding.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with Epic or other major EMR software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate documentation to ensure coding accuracy and specificity.
• Identify HCC codes and ensure documentation reflects medical necessity and acuity.
• Provide guidance and education to providers, medical staff, and managers on best documentation practices.
• Willingness to travel and participate in remote work and internal meetings.
