Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group seeks an Ambulatory CDI Specialist I to optimize documentation quality and coding specificity. This is a remote position requiring residency in KY or IN; you will evaluate clinical documentation, identify HCCs, and educate providers and staff on best practices.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in medical group coding, proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and risk adjustment concepts, plus Epic or similar EMR experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years' professional medical group coding experience.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT, CPT II and modifier coding.
• CMS HCC, HHS HCC, Rx HCC coding and risk adjustment related to documentation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Preferred: HCC coding, Epic experience, presenting education to coders/providers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate documentation to ensure coding accuracy and specificity.
• Identify HCC diagnosis codes and ensure medical necessity is reflected.
• Provide guidance/education to providers and staff; travel and remote work as needed.
