Job summary

Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corporation (PWSAC) seeks a Food Service Cook II to work at remote, off-grid hatcheries in Alaska and a semi-remote facility near Paxson. The position is full-time, temporary, and hourly non-exempt, with room-and-board provided and travel reimbursement.

The role requires preparing daily meals, maintaining food safety, and coordinating with service hours while supporting a small, expeditionary team in a unique offshore setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a cafeteria, production/commercial kitchen, or field camp.
• Current, valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing three meals per day with a featured entree and sides.
• Coordinate with meal serving hours to preserve quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Store food properly with date labeling and safe handling.
• Keep work area clean and maintain equipment.
• Lead by example in workflow or scheduling for other crew members.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
