Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an experienced software engineer to own the AI agents and automation stack, driving end-to-end delivery of autonomous insurance quoting and transaction orchestration. You will shape prompt engineering, backend automation, and integration with external carrier systems in a remote-first, fast-growing startup.

You will evaluate and deploy new AI models, optimize latency and cost, and collaborate with OpenAI and other providers to deliver scalable, reliable automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, preferably at startups.
• Experience putting LLM-based systems into production.
• Ability to own outcomes end-to-end.
• Experience with evals, latency, cost, and failure handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI agents and automation system development, including frontend and backend components.
• Evaluate emerging AI technology and decide what to invest in next, then ship to production.
• Collaborate with OpenAI to deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation.
