Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an AI SDLC Engineer to join a remote, consulting role. You will embed with a Performance Squad to assess workflows, improve AI-enabled engineering practices, and establish governance, KPIs, and reusable docs to scale beyond the pilot.

The position offers W2 benefits and a competitive hourly rate in a distributed team. The role requires senior-level software experience, strong AI tool usage, and the ability to collaborate across Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on software engineering experience with production applications.
• Experience using generative AI or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience applying AI across multiple stages of the SDLC.
• Strong understanding of source control, pull requests, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience working with Agile or Scrum teams during active sprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and leadership audiences.
• Based in and authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work remotely with flexible hours across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Assess current engineering workflows, development tools, and AI usage.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve productivity via AI.
• Apply AI-assisted practices across requirements refinement, code generation, automated testing, and code review.
• Collaborate with engineers on active code, PRs, testing, and delivery decisions.
• Integrate AI into SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and quality engineering workflows.
• Establish standards and controls for responsible AI-assisted development.
• Define and track KPIs for AI adoption, velocity, quality, and impact.
