Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an AI SDLC Engineer to join a remote initiative establishing governance and measurable AI practices across the software development lifecycle. You will embed with a Performance Squad to assess workflows, improve AI-assisted engineering, and create scalable standards, KPIs, and documentation.

The role requires senior hands-on software engineering experience, expertise with AI-assisted development, and the ability to work remotely across US time zones.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with hands-on production experience.
• Experience using generative AI or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience applying AI across SDLC stages.
• Strong understanding of source control, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience collaborating with Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess current engineering workflows, development tools, and AI usage.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve productivity with AI.
• Apply AI practices across requirements, coding, testing, reviews, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers on active code, PRs, testing, and delivery decisions.
• Integrate AI into SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and quality engineering workflows.
• Coach developers through hands-on implementation and collaboration.
• Define standards and controls for responsible AI-assisted software development.
• Maintain human ownership, traceability, and auditability for AI changes.
• Define and track KPIs related to AI adoption and production impact.
• Create technical standards, playbooks, and operating procedures.
