Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an AI SDLC Engineer for a remote, consulting role. You will embed with a Performance Squad to advance AI-driven engineering across development, testing, PRs, and delivery, establishing standards, governance, KPIs, and scalable docs.

Responsibilities include assessing workflows, reducing manual effort with AI, and coaching teams to adopt AI-enabled practices across the SDLC. W2 benefits are provided for eligible consultants.

Qualifications

• Senior-level, hands-on software engineering experience in production systems.
• Proven use of AI-enabled or generative AI tools in development.
• Experience applying AI across multiple SDLC stages.
• Strong understanding of source control, PRs, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess current engineering workflows, tools, and AI usage.
• Identify opportunities to boost productivity with AI and reduce manual effort.
• Apply AI practices across requirements, code generation, testing, reviews, and docs.
• Collaborate with engineers on code, PRs, tests, and delivery decisions.
• Integrate AI into SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and quality workflows.
• Coach developers through hands-on implementation and collaboration.
• Establish standards and controls for responsible AI-driven development.
• Maintain human ownership, traceability, and auditability for AI changes.
• Define and track KPIs for AI adoption, velocity, and impact.
• Create playbooks, guidance, and operating procedures.
• Translate findings to updates for engineering leadership.
