Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced AI SDLC Engineer to embed with a Performance Squad and advance AI-assisted practices across requirements refinement, code generation, automated testing, and delivery. This remote, open-hours role focuses on governance, KPIs, and scalable documentation to extend beyond the pilot.

You will work with engineers on active code, reviews, and deployment decisions, shaping responsible AI standards, traceability, and auditability while defining an operating model

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with hands-on experience supporting production applications.
• Demonstrated experience using generative AI or AI-assisted development tools within active software environments.
• Experience applying AI across multiple stages of the SDLC.
• Strong understanding of source control, PRs, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum teams during active sprint delivery.
• Ability to collaborate on active code, testing, and delivery workflows.
• Experience assessing engineering processes and implementing practical improvements.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles including accountability, security, and auditability.
• Experience defining or measuring outcomes related to AI adoption, productivity, velocity, quality, or production impact.

Responsibilities

• Assess current engineering workflows, development tools, and AI usage.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve productivity with AI.
• Apply AI-assisted practices across requirements refinement, code generation, automated testing, code review, and PR validation.
• Collaborate with engineers on active code, PRs, testing, and delivery decisions.
• Integrate AI into SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and quality-engineering workflows.
• Coach developers through hands-on implementation and collaboration.
• Establish standards and controls for responsible AI-enhanced development.
• Maintain human ownership, review, traceability, and auditability for AI changes.
• Define and track KPIs related to AI adoption, velocity, quality, and impact.
• Create technical standards, playbooks, and operating procedures.
