Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. You will hold live conversations with AI voice models, compare images and videos, and explain what’s off, all remotely and on your own schedule.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to replay or zoom in to spot issues.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is nice to have.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic situations in a natural, conversational way.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to decide clearly when both options have flaws.

Responsibilities

• Hold live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models, then rate how natural, useful, and clear each one sounded.
• Compare AI-generated images/videos and judge which better follows the prompt.
• Inspect outputs closely (zooming/replaying) to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering/motion, text errors, and audio/video mismatches.
• Rate outputs across dimensions (adherence, quality, realism) and write concise explanations in English describing what you saw or heard.
• Image evaluations: compare two AI-generated images for the same prompt and select the better one, considering instructions, quality and artifacts.
• Video evaluations: rank AI-generated videos against a prompt or edited clips against originals.
• Video caption labeling: describe first-person videos of tasks, splitting clips into actions with precise captions from an AI draft.
• Audio and voice evaluations: rate AI speech on naturalness and voice match; may require a short voice explanation.
