Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an Associate Vice President, Model & AI Governance to lead the enterprise framework for model governance, AI risk management, and responsible AI initiatives.

This role reports to the CRO and drives governance, oversight, and escalation across AI use and analytics initiatives. The position requires deep expertise in model risk management, AI governance, and healthcare regulatory knowledge, with the ability to influence executive leadership and risk committees.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise-wide model governance or AI governance programs.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and risk considerations in healthcare.
• Proven ability to present complex risk topics to executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously enhance the enterprise model governance framework and risk classifications.
• Define model risk appetite, taxonomy, minimum control standards, and escalation thresholds.
• Provide effective challenge over model development, validation, and monitoring.
• Oversee enterprise model inventory and governance ownership, documentation, and risk classification.
• Establish standards for model validation, including fairness, bias, explainability, and ongoing monitoring.
• Develop and oversee Responsible AI framework and principles across the organization.
• Establish governance for external models, AI platforms, and third-party providers.
• Lead AI risk governance committees and report to executive management and Board Committees.
