Job summary

HealthEquity, Inc. is seeking a Senior Responsible AI Governance and Compliance leader to translate policy into concrete technical controls across the AI lifecycle.

You will partner with IT, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Security to embed risk-based guardrails and evaluation standards in platform workflows, enabling innovation while reducing regulatory and security risk. The role requires deep knowledge of AI risk assessment, governance frameworks, and hands-on experience delivering auditable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3+ years of direct experience governing AI/ML systems in production or near-production environments.
• Experience supporting audit, regulatory, or client assurance efforts with high-quality technical documentation and evidence.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and operationalize AI governance controls across the full AI lifecycle, translating requirements into testable, auditable controls.
• Lead or support technical assurance reviews for AI use cases, validating documented risks and mitigations against observed behavior.
• Design and standardize AI governance artifacts such as model cards, evaluation summaries, data-flow docs, risk mappings, and approval evidence.
• Establish continuous assurance mechanisms with monitoring signals, metrics, dashboards, and automated evidence collection.
• Partner with security, privacy, data governance, legal, product, and engineering to embed AI controls by design in development workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement in security governance, risk management, and compliance practices.
• Serve as SME on end-to-end AI governance lifecycle, advising senior management on best practices.
• Other AI Gov activities assigned by leadership.
