Job summary

Portless is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build and deploy AI systems that automate and optimize logistics at scale. This fully remote role serves North America with roughly 6 hours overlap with Eastern Time.

You will craft AI/ML models for logistics and ecommerce use cases, work with LLMs, computer vision and predictive analytics, and own the entire ML lifecycle from data and training to deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience deploying models to production.
• Must be authorised to work in the US (no sponsorship).
• Canada/Mexico candidates only if they already hold US work authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases.
• Work with LLMs, computer vision and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship AI-powered features.
• Own the full ML lifecycle: data, training, evaluation, deployment.
• Monitor and improve model performance in production.
