Job summary

Praxent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with client teams (banks, lenders, or payments companies) and build AI systems that run in production. You will write code, make day-to-day decisions, and navigate compliance challenges to deliver scalable, auditable solutions.

You will own a workstream end-to-end, from understanding the client’s problem to a delivered, documented solution, with clean integration into existing systems and risk controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software that other people depended on.
• Direct experience with LLM and agentic systems (RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evals) is ideal.
• Fluency in Python and/or TypeScript, and cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience embedded within a client environment and working with real-world systems and data.
• Ability to discuss technical topics directly with client engineers, and work with risk and compliance partners in regulated contexts.

Responsibilities

• Ship dependable AI in the client environment with compliant handoff.
• Own an end-to-end workstream from problem understanding to delivered, documented solution.
• Ensure integration with legacy cores, governed data, and identity/infrastructure.
• Develop runbooks, evals, and handoffs enabling the client team to operate independently.
• Communicate clearly with client engineers and Praxent teammates to earned trust.
