Job summary

Praxent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who embeds with a client in banking and payments to build production-grade AI systems. You’ll own code, navigate compliance, and ship features that survive handoff to the client’s team.

You’ll work with Senior FDEs and Product Managers, integrating with legacy cores, governed data, and identity infra, delivering trustworthy, auditable AI in complex environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software with reliability requirements.
• Direct experience with LLM and agentic systems is ideal but relevant AI depth counts.
• Experience embedding within a client or customer's environment integrating with real-world systems.
• Ability to hold technical conversations with client engineers.
• Experience in banking, lending, or payments with risk/compliance context preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver shipped, dependable AI in the client environment that remains functional after handoff.
• Own an end-to-end workstream from understanding the client problem to a delivered solution.
• Ensure clean integration with legacy cores, governed data, and identity/infrastructure.
• Provide runbooks, guardrails, and handoffs so the client can operate independently.
• Build trust with client engineers through clear communication and reliability.
