Job summary

TribalScale is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with clients and internal teams, delivering AI-powered software in real-world environments. Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience, preferably with AI-powered or agentic systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages used for AI apps and tooling.
• Practical understanding of harness engineering: context, tools, permissions, controls, and feedback mechanisms.
• Experience with agent loops (planning, tool selection, execution, observation, reflection, recovery, termination).
• Familiarity with graph-based orchestration, state machines, and multi-step workflows coordinating agents, tools, data, and human approvals.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous client problems into clear technical requirements and delivery plans.
• Design and build AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Engineer harnesses around AI models including prompts, tools, context, memory, and observability.
• Build and refine agent loops for planning, tool selection, execution, observation, and termination.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready software.
