Job summary

TribalScale is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our AI-enabled delivery teams, embedding with clients and internal squads to turn ambiguous problems into concrete prototypes and production-ready software.

You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications, establish robust toolchains, and ensure reliability, observability, and security as you collaborate with product managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Production‑grade software experience.
• AI-powered or agentic systems experience.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with clients to understand objectives, workflows, environments, data, and constraints.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into technical requirements, architectures, and delivery plans.
• Design and build AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, developer tools, APIs, data pipelines, and full‑stack products.
• Engineer harnesses around AI models, including prompts, tools, context, memory, permissions, and observability.
• Build and refine agent loops supporting planning, tool selection, execution, observation, reflection, recovery, and termination.
• Model complex workflows as graphs or state machines coordinating models, tools, data, and human approvals.
• Create evaluation frameworks measuring task completion, accuracy, reliability, latency, and value.
• Develop rapid prototypes and proofs of concept, validated with real users and evaluations.
