Job summary

TribalScale seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer in Washington, D.C., to embed with client and internal teams, translating business needs into production-grade software. You will design AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, and tooling, while ensuring reliability and security in real-world deployments.

You will collaborate across product, design, and security teams, communicating decisions clearly and delivering measurable impact for complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience, ideally including AI-powered or agentic systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or another language used to build AI applications and tooling.
• Understanding of harness engineering: infrastructure, context, tools, permissions, controls, and feedback mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand objectives, workflows, environments, data, and constraints.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into technical requirements and delivery plans.
• Design and build AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, developer tools, APIs, data pipelines, and products.
• Engineer the harnesses around AI models: prompts, tools, context, memory, permissions, controls, observability.
