Job summary

WTW is seeking an actuarial intern in our Property & Casualty division. You will work on pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and software implementation for insurance companies, gaining exposure to multiple facets of insurance operations while collaborating with credentialed actuaries.

The role emphasizes developing technical skills, client interaction, and progress toward actuarial credentials, with hybrid/remote options and a expectations for strong communication and analytics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or related quantitative field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
• Strong technical and/or client service skills with leadership experience are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall pricing and development of personal and/or commercial lines insurance products.
• Leverage predictive modeling to improve risk segmentation.
• Perform loss reserve analyses and prepare actuarial reports and summaries.
• Learn WTW proprietary software to complete projects.
• Build relationships with internal teams and client representatives.
• Document and present your own work and contribute to project plans.
• Monitor project progress against deadlines and budgets.
• Adhere to the firm’s Excellence guidelines.
