Job summary

Milliman's New York Property and Casualty practice is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for remote work in the United States. You will perform data preparation, check data quality, draft reports, and develop actuarial models under supervision.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, two actuarial exams, 1–4 years of pricing or reserving experience, strong Excel, and programming in R/SQL/SAS. You will present findings to peers and clients and contribute to ongoing client work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, statistics or other quantitative major.
• Two or more actuarial exams passed (at time of application).
• Between 1 and 4 years of professional actuarial experience, including internship, ideally with pricing experience for commercial lines.
• Strong technical skill in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform various levels of analysis related to client work, including data preparation and checking for errors.
• Draft reports and exhibits; maintain documentation.
• Present findings to peers, project managers, and client relationship managers.
• Develop and use actuarial models; check work for accuracy.
• Undertake research projects and support other duties as assigned.
