Job summary

WTW is looking for an actuarial intern to join the Property & Casualty practice. The role offers exposure to pricing, product development, reserving, capital modeling and software implementation under the guidance of credentialed actuaries.

Work can be remote with a hybrid option, and you will gain hands-on experience across multiple insurance segments while pursuing actuarial credentials, with mentorship from senior consultants and collaboration with client teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
• Work or extracurricular experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills and leadership
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Accepting applications from candidates graduating between December 2027 and June 2029
• This position can be hybrid or remote

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall pricing and development of personal and/or commercial lines insurance products
• Leverage predictive modeling techniques to increase segmentation of risks
• Perform loss reserve analyses, including preparation of actuarial reports and summaries
• Learn WTW proprietary software to complete projects
• Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities and work toward actuarial credentials
• Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives
• Document, review and present your own work
• Assist in creating detailed project plans
• Monitor project progress against deadlines and budget
• Follow the firm's Excellence guidelines
