Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Remote Accounts Resolution Specialist to help ensure proper billing and reimbursements. This role interfaces with patients, insurers, and providers to resolve complex AR issues from home across multiple states.

You will follow up on denials, manage appeals, and use WAYSTAR for payer communications, while maintaining high productivity and clear leadership communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in insurance claims follow-up.
• Minimum 2 years of claim denial management.
• 5 years experience in physician/facility business office.
• 1 year of remote work experience.
• Vaccination policy compliance required; flu shot or exemption masking may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow up daily accounts to reduce accounts receivable.
• Validate denied claims and determine the proper denial resolution (authorization/retro authorization/precertification).
• Utilize WAYSTAR to submit appeal letters and payer documentation.
• Prioritize work to improve collections efficiency.
• Document actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR with standard notes.
• Meet department productivity requirements.
• Communicate opportunities to leadership using SBAR.
• Follow CHS leadership and participate in AR reduction initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist billing with replies to inquiries.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
