Job summary

The Offshore BPO Accounts Payable Specialist role focuses on handling accounts payable processes for clients in a BPO setup. It ensures timely payments, processes invoices, verifies data, and maintains documentation while supporting onboarding of acquired companies and identifying process improvements.

Candidates should have 2+ years in AP, strong detail-orientation, and proficiency with accounting software, ERP, and MS Office. Remote work environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related roles, preferably in a BPO or outsourcing environment.
• Familiarity with AP processes, including invoice processing, payment verification, and reconciliation.
• Proficient in using accounting software, MS Office applications, and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex invoice discrepancies.
• Adaptability to work with multiple clients and handle various AP systems.

Responsibilities

• Clarify questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures and obtain data for payments.
• Verify vendor information, calculate totals, apply discounts, review invoices for payment approval, and assign voucher numbers.
• Maintain and update AP records, reconcile invoices, issue payments, and file documents.
• Handle wire transfers, ACH payments, and procurement card payments with proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank information using spreadsheets and tools to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare monthly cash receipts and AP reports for management review.
• Maintain PO and invoice filing systems for organization and documentation.
• Coordinate and reconcile petty cash funds and cash disbursements.
• Verify general ledger accounts associated with purchases.
• Provide support for AP processes, including bank reconciliations and vendor inquiries.
• Contribute to onboarding AP functions of acquired companies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in AP operations.
