Job summary

Charter Impact is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our remote-first team serving clients nationwide. You will document and set up vendor information, process invoices, code general ledger accounts, and monitor weekly check runs. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and collaboration with clients and internal teams.

You’ll work across multiple entities and systems such as Sage Intacct, with a focus on continuous process improvement and efficient payments.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree with related experience.
• Accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general ledger coding."
• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness to maintain vendor relations.
• Verify availability of cash and perform payment selections.
• Produce data entry and GL coding for invoices across multiple entities.
• Generate AP aging and share with clients as needed.
• Notify clients of vendor discrepancies and ensure follow-ups.
• Resolve inquiries from clients and multiple entities via email and phone.
• Generate use tax reports for AP purposes.
• Assist in year-end audit schedule preparation.
• Focus on process improvements using current industry tech.
