Job summary

The Lockwood Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional for a role that can be remote or based at our Stamford, CT headquarters. You will support end-to-end AP processing, vendor management, and employee expense review to protect cash flow and ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced medical communications environment.

The ideal candidate has strong numerical accuracy, solid Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with commercial teams and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• AP experience preferred but not required.
• Understanding of double-entry accounting and accrual vs cash basis.
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and confidentiality.
• Proficient Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Advantage, QuickBooks and Sage is a plus.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, including appropriate GL coding and approvals, and maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Review W-9s and assist with new vendor setup.
• Process and review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Assist with audit requests, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.
• Communicate proactively with commercial teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.
