Job summary

Thrivas is hiring a Remote Accounting Assistant/Clerk to support the accounting department. The role is full-time and permanent, with very flexible hours and the option to work from home.

Benefits commence after a 90-day probationary period, and regular opportunities for pay increases are noted. Experience is not required, but candidates with accounts payable/receivable skills and recent accounting exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable is ideal.
• Recent accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of invoicing and month-end processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create new client invoices across various formats.
• Track receivables and alert the office manager of delinquent accounts.
• Run Excel reports daily and weekly/month-end reporting for bookkeepers.
• Assist on special projects with the bookkeeper or outside CPA as needed.
• Support payroll team with ad-hoc tasks when required.
