Job summary

Manta Search is seeking a remote Accounting Advisory Staff to join our virtual team. You will own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of small business clients, delivering monthly and quarterly financial statements with plain-English commentary.

You will advise on cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking, while building strong client relationships and overseeing junior staff. Remote, US-only, with capped busy season hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience across multiple clients.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; experience with Xero, Bill.com, or similar tools a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort explaining financial concepts to non-accountants.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of small business clients, including AP, AR, payroll coordination, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial statements with clear, plain-English commentary for clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted advisor relationships throughout the year
• Provide advisory support on cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking tailored to each client's business
• Review work prepared by staff accountants or bookkeepers and provide constructive feedback
• Identify process improvements and help clients clean up or optimize their accounting systems
• Onboard new clients, including chart of accounts setup, historical cleanup, and workflow documentation
• Participate in client kick-off meetings and ongoing check-in calls
