Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Account Manager for the Insulation Division to develop and sustain relationships with manufacturing and fabrication clients across Alabama, North Florida and West Georgia. This is a remote, home-office role requiring travel within the territory.

You will prospect, plan and close new business, coordinate with plant personnel and management to resolve customer issues, and deliver regular territory and call reports to the Sales Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales/marketing and/or technical experience in building trades and/or insulation industry.
• Knowledge in sales force CRM and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
• Strong critical thinking, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business relationships with manufacturing and fabrication clients in the territory.
• Prospect and close new business accounts through organization and efficient planning.
• Work with plant personnel, technical center and management to develop solutions to customer issues.
• Prepare weekly call reports and weekly sales reports.
• Prepare monthly and annual territory analyses to be submitted to the Sales Manager.
