Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring no errors or omissions.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, an active P&C license (CIC or equivalent preferred), and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing; CIC preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business to retain accounts and support new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Resolve complex issues and ensure error-free administration
• Maintain policy expirations, renewals, and pricing analyses
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Ensure data accuracy and complete documentation
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to requests
• Stay current with company policies and procedures
• Champion IOA values and act with integrity
