Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company seeks an Account Development Manager to drive sales growth in the Seattle market by expanding existing store accounts and developing new relationships. This field-based role emphasizes relationship-building, consultative selling, and strategic territory planning.

You will work with internal teams to support customer success, educate customers on products and promotions, and pursue opportunities to increase product adoption in assigned stores.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Strong prospecting skills with a hunter mentality and a passion for winning new business.
• Experience with CRM systems preferred.
• Coatings or related industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by expanding existing accounts, increasing product adoption, and achieving territory sales goals.
• Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, outreach, and relationship-building.
• Build and maintain customer partnerships to increase retention and minimize sales loss.
• Create and execute territory sales plans to maximize market coverage.
• Use consultative selling to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Manage pricing opportunities, discounts, margins, and overall territory performance.
• Track sales activity, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
• Educate customers on products, promotions, and solutions to increase engagement and sales.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service to support customer success.
• Represent the Pittsburgh Paints Company brand professionally in field activities.
