Defense Unicorns is seeking an Account Executive for Commercial (ComS114) in the United States, offering a base salary of $145,000–$185,000 with total on-target earnings of $290,000–$370,000. This remote role drives full lifecycle capture across the Defense Industrial Base to secure mission-critical software delivery and cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to win complex technical pursuits through the full capture lifecycle.
• Knowledge of acquisition processes (FAR-based contracts, OTAs, SBIR, IDIQ).
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership across technical and exec audiences.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver proposals.
• Familiarity with software factory environments, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or tactical edge deployments is a strong plus.
• Deep DIB experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive new Mission Hero acquisition across the DIB ecosystem, aligning with growth objectives.
• Develop and execute capture plans, win strategies, and competitive positioning.
• Engage government stakeholders, primes, and ecosystem partners to shape opportunities.
• Understand DoD acquisition timelines and funding paths across branches.
• Identify teaming arrangements to enhance capabilities and incumbent advantage.
• Translate capabilities into persuasive win themes and support RFI/RFP responses.
• Prepare reports on activities, KPIs, and effect of strategies to improve results.
• Represent the company at industry and government events to gather market intel.
