Job summary

American Marketing Association seeks a diligent Academic Communities Intern to support SIGs, assist with budgets, and coordinate events remotely. You will help run the Academic Communities program, coordinate volunteers, and enable meaningful member engagement with the AMA's academic networks.

The role requires a high school diploma and current college enrollment, with strong Google Suite skills and attention to detail. Remote work up to 24 hours weekly is expected, through spring 2027.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in working in event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail and reliable remote work capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget, payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 Winter/Summer Academic conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
