Job summary

The American Marketing Association seeks an Academic Communities Intern to join our team remotely. You will support the Academic Communities group by coordinating events, assisting volunteer leaders, and helping create a welcoming community for scholars and practitioners.

You must live in one of the eligible states and be enrolled in a college or university. The internship runs January 19, 2027 through April 9, 2027, with a maximum of 24 hours per week and pay of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event/association management or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages for AMA.
• Assist with SIG budget, payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning for 2027 Winter/Summer Academic conferences and related events.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with staff support.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
