Job summary

The American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern to support the academic community of marketers. This fully remote internship requires you to live in one of the eligible states and offers $18.00 per hour with a maximum of 24 hours per week from January 19, 2027 to April 9, 2027.

You will assist with SIG webpages, budgets, planning for conferences, attendee inquiries, and awards processes, while supporting the Academic Communities team and conference proceedings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event, volunteer, or association management.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning for 2027 conferences and virtual events.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
