Job summary

American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern to support member engagement in the academic marketing community. This fully remote role requires residency in the listed US states and offers structured project work, events assistance, and strong collaboration with volunteer leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Currently enrolled at a 2- or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event/association management and working remotely.
• Experience using Google Suite applications.
• Keen eye for detail and reliability.
• Ability to work remotely up to 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget, payments, reimbursements & invoices.
• Support planning for 2027 conferences (Winter, Summer, Virtual).
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
