Job summary

The American Marketing Association offers a remote internship in the Academic Communities area. This role supports the academic community of marketers by delivering events, supporting volunteer leaders, and fostering fellowship among academics.

You will work with the Academic Communities team to manage SIG webpages, budgets, and conference logistics for multiple events in 2027. This internship emphasizes collaboration, planning, and strong attention to detail while allowing you to balance class

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event/association management, or volunteer coordination.
• Experience in Google Suite or similar tools.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the Manager, Academic Communities and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
