The American Marketing Association is offering a fully remote internship for students enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college. This Academic Communities Intern position supports the education and engagement of marketers within AMA by managing SIG pages, budgets, and event logistics while assisting leaders and coordinating conference activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Currently enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience is desirable.
• Interest in event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the Manager, Academic Communities and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
