The American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern. This fully remote role supports the Academic Communities team by delivering community-driven events, coordinating with volunteer leaders, and fostering belonging among marketing academics.

You will assist with SIG webpages, budget tasks, and planning for 2027 conferences, while providing attendee support and helping to execute awards processes. Remote work ensures you can contribute from home while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in working within event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience in Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support the Manager, Academic Communities, with planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
