Job summary

The American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern to support the Academic Communities team remotely from the United States. The role focuses on maintaining SIG webpages, budgeting, and assisting with planning for the 2027 Winter and Summer conferences, as well as virtual events.

You will engage with volunteer leaders, deliver member-facing opportunities, and help foster a sense of home for academics.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college/university.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work remotely part-time.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and office software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget, payments, and invoices.
• Support planning for 2027 conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Support conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
