Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing or insurance authorisations is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail with dates, Tax ID, and NPI numbers.
• Strong organisational skills for repetitive, detail-heavy tasks.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication.
• Confident phone manners for insurance follow-ups.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently.
• Reliable attendance and accountability.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with submitting and managing authorisation requests for ABA services.
• Capture patient and provider information accurately, including dates, Tax ID, and NPI numbers.
• Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up with insurance companies on pending authorisations.
• Communicate professionally with insurance representatives by phone and in writing.
• Monitor authorisation statuses and maintain records.
• Follow up on outstanding requests to prevent delays in approvals.
• Identify missing or incorrect information and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with drafting insurance appeal letters when required.
• Maintain timely follow-through on time-sensitive tasks.
• Work independently while keeping the team informed of outstanding matters.
