Job summary

Guidant Financial, a trusted leader in helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams, offers a fully remote Retirement Plan Operations Specialist role. You will learn the complete process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, progressing from document review to routine plan administration through hands-on training.

You will review client documents, communicate progress, perform 401(k) testing and year-end filings such as IRS Form 5500, and use Excel and specialized software.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience (benefits administration, money movement, tax prep processing, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) and knowledge of year-end reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information needed to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting via administrative systems.
• Prepare 5500 filings and educate clients on plan administration.
