Job summary

Tri-Point is seeking a 3D Civil Modeler/Designer to join our team. You will create 3D surface models for GPS machine control and construction layout, bridging design and field execution. The role emphasizes independent work and clear client communication.

The position is primarily remote with occasional travel to job sites. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience with the listed software and a strong ability to read construction plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent heavy civil work experience
• 3–5 years experience building 3D surfaces with listed software tools
• Experience with Trimble, Topcon, Leica machine control and construction layout equipment a strong plus
• Knowledge of reading construction plans
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to collect site data for 3D surface models
• Review CAD files and plans to ensure necessary data is available
• Develop layout maps and 3D surface models to meet client requirements
• Turn around projects within 1–2 weeks during peak times
• Interface with field crews and clients as needed
