Job summary

Tri-Point is seeking a 3D Civil Modeler/Designer who can produce accurate 3D surface models for GPS machine control and construction layout. The role involves close client interaction, data validation from CAD files, and delivering timely model outputs to meet site needs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in 3D surface modeling using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related tools, with strong plan-reading skills and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years building 3D surfaces with listed design tools.
• Experience with machine control layout equipment is a strong plus.
• Knowledge reading construction plans and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D surface models for GPS machine control and layout.
• Review CAD files and plans, identify data omissions, and communicate gaps.
• Develop layout maps and 3D models; meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects, often with tight turnaround.
