Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Team Lead for a Remote Operations Center to guide a 24/7 renewable operations team, focusing on safe, reliable operations and rapid alarm response. You will partner with internal stakeholders to align with procedures and performance expectations.

This remote leadership role requires strong decision-making under pressure, expertise in power systems, SCADA, and NERC standards, plus excellent communication to keep stakeholders informed during critical events.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a 24/7 control room or renewable operations environment.
• Expertise in power generation, transmission and distribution systems, and renewable technologies.
• Proficiency with SCADA systems and performance monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of NERC standards and ISO market rules.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead complex operational scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of controllers handling day-to-day renewable operations
• Independently manage high-risk operational scenarios requiring expert judgment
• Coordinate real-time controller activities to respond to alarms and outages effectively
• Ensure compliance with NERC standards and internal procedures during operations
• Communicate operational updates clearly to stakeholders during critical situations
• Contribute to improved control room procedures and operational best practices
