Job summary

Ladders seeks a Senior Generator Systems Specialist to support reliable power for data center operations. You will oversee generator systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure uninterrupted service and safe power transitions.

Remote role in the United States with travel up to 25%. You will collaborate with operations and technical teams to strengthen resilience, monitor performance, and contribute to expansion initiatives in a high-availability environment.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on generator maintenance in data centers or hospitals
In-depth knowledge of data center power infrastructure: generators, UPS, ATS
Strong understanding of diesel, gas-powered and hybrid generators
Experience with remote monitoring and diagnostic systems for critical power
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Knowledge of fuel delivery systems and management for backup generators
Ability to work in high-pressure environments and travel ~25%

Responsibilities

Oversee installation and configuration of generator systems, ensuring safety standards
Assist in integrating backup generators with UPS and ATS
Guide regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure generator readiness
Monitor performance of backup generators, including load testing and fuel checks
Develop plans for monitoring generator systems for faults and deficiencies
Remotely diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues during maintenance or emergencies
Respond to power outages, ensuring smooth transitions between power sources
